Harmony Leigh Windsor

Scrappy teenager who has philophobia

Basic Info

Harmony was given up for adoption very early on. Unable to track her birth father, not that she wanted to, and mostly bounced around most of the Pacific North West. California, Oregon, Colorado, Washington. Ten different homes in almost eighteen years of life. Then, Peg and Jim Windsor finally adopted Harmony as a sweet sixteen present. Joy. Though she adjusted to life in Burbank, California, Life wasn’t easy as she found herself constantly pushing others away, even as she got a permanent home. Though, she still finds herself unsure how to figure this new life she’s living.
Due to her shutting herself off, she never even felt permission to desire intimacy. Not from family, friends, or even possible relationships. She always just assumed it was a means to an end. Hang out, have fun, move on. Her happy demeanor ever a mask hiding hurt. That doesn’t mean she is closed off to love, she just believes she’s never ‘felt’ it. It may take some time but she does find some happiness in being around others, she just isn’t sure what it means to love.

Harmony is eighteen years old, about five feet five inches tall - or about one hundred and sixty-five centimeters -, with dark brown wavy hair (usually), light brown eyes, a slight tan, maybe more olive in tone with a round face. She’s fairly bubbly and sweet, though crass. It seems that when she has someone approach her, she’s filled with confidence to speak unless told to silence herself. Harmony is a sucker for lamb kabobs and red Thai tea. She tends to always have some sort of candy or treat on her person, constantly hoarding snacks. She’s always willing to be an ear to listen and a shoulder to lean on even if she doesn’t have the right thing to say. She may come off as a little on the flirty side but she doesn’t mean it as a way of actual flirting. She’s actually never even dated or ‘had a crush’ on anyone. Though, she’s not fully opposed to dating, just never done so to her knowledge.

Harmony Windsor, Daughter of Aphrodite

Harmony is a child of Aphrodite and an unknown man. Harmony has been given hints that he is a sailor and when Harmony was born, he gave her up for adoption. So, she was constantly bounced from foster home to foster home, monster attacks either leaving her families dead or severely injured.

In her seventeenth year of life, at her seventeenth school, pressured after months of begging from her choir director to open her senior year’s homecoming football game with the national anthem. She finally agreed, not confident at all in doing any such performance though she excelled in singing. Things were odd as Harmony seemed to skip practice near constantly, even refusing a mic check before the game. Then, the moment of truth. The last note left her lips, and it all went to hell. The crowd went wild but at the cost of every member of the audience rushing to focus on her, either with rage or adoration. Immediately, she fled, running as fast as she could and pushing any poor sap that was in her way begging for blessings or beatings. Once she broke the threshold of the football field, she dashed into the car her adopted parents gave her and pushed on the gas, screeching the tires as she fled Portland, Oregon, the last place she called ‘home’. Once her gas card ran out, she left the old Chevy somewhere between Idaho and South Dakota and continued on foot. She didn’t know where she was going or how but a soft, sensual voice kept whispering in her ear: ‘Long Island, New York.’ Eventually, she made it. Tired, hungry, and wearing what was left of a nice gown, she found it: Camp Half-Blood. Maybe it was because someone was protecting her, maybe it was intuition. Regardless, she made it. Now, Harmony understands why she was led to Long Island. She’s a half-blood, full of empathy and the voice of a siren. One can only hope she uses such powers for good.

Harmony is one of the newest members of Cabin Ten but not always the youngest. Along with the usual ADHD and Dyslexia that comes with the Demigod territory, most of Harmony’s skills are performance-based. She is able to sing very well but when she does, she has a special variant of Charmspeak called Siren’s Warsong. When she sings, mortals tend to be attracted to her and monsters see it as an angering taunt. Depending on the Half-Blood, there is usually no effect. She also has a swing on empathy so emotions are so easy for her to understand and manipulate. Though it’s so effortless, she can’t even tell she’s doing it. A soft word calming the fiercest rage or even igniting such. She has also found herself connected closely with some animals such as sparrows, doves, and she got a dolphin to splash a teacher once. That was cool. She’s also made a close connection to a Pegasus named Daisy. While her appearance is striking, Harmony doesn’t like to only have her appearance be her only weapon. Once at camp, she began to train with a short sword and a shield. She’s not the best fighter by any means but she’s probably one of the best in the Aphrodite cabin by far.

She also somehow got in the good graces of the God of Wine and has been blessed with the ability to manipulate the mental states of others, forcing them to go insane or become severely depressed. Harmony tends to gauge this by her empathic abilities to see what would work best for her targets.

Harmony Windsor, Socialite Outcast

Harmony is a bastard child of an unknown socialite and her bodyguard, giving her up as a baby as to not tie the scandal back to the high society mother.

Having been tossed around from foster home to foster home, Harmony now couch surfs to make it. having dropped out just before graduating high school, the teen works odd jobs, usually losing them because of her snarky comebacks and lack of proper manners. Not to mention some of her closest friends tend to die or disappearing for some reason or another. Who can you trust after a life like that?

Important information about Harmony’s romantic life

Harmony identifies as Demisexual Panromantic. What do those terms mean?

Demisexuality is a sexual orientation where people only experience sexual attraction to folks that they have close emotional connections with. In other words, demisexual people only experience sexual attraction after an emotional bond has formed. Someone who is panromantic is romantically attracted to people of all gender identities. This doesn't mean you're romantically attracted to everyone, but that someone's gender doesn't really factor in to whether you're romantically attracted to them or not.

So, Harmony isn’t against having a romantic relationship. It just may take some time to build that relationship, whomever she decided to have it with.
